| The objective of this Teach-In is to use the opportunity of the 2000 World Petroleum Congress (WPC) in Calgary, Alberta, Canada on June 11-15, to expose the atrocities committed by the petroleum industry globally, and to discuss alternatives to the Oil Paradigm. This will be a venue for people to learn about and discuss the reasons for abandoning the Oil Paradigm, ways in which we can do so, and what a Just and Sustainable future will look like. It will also be an opportunity to organize and build community in Alberta and beyond. |
